PRIVACY POLICY
Your privacy.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
The short version: your progress always stays on your own device and is never sent to us. On Steam, the game collects nothing. On iPhone and Android, the plan is a free version with ads and a paid ad-free version; this page will describe the ad provider and its data before the phone versions are released. The only personal data we receive ourselves is what you send through the support form or by email.
Who we are
The controller responsible for your personal data is Ilias Meligkovas (MEL Entertainment), the developer and publisher of Kuniakunia, based in Greece. Contact: support@kuniakunia.com.

The game
Kuniakunia is still in development and not released yet. This section describes how the game will handle data when it launches. We will update this page before release if anything changes.
Kuniakunia has no accounts, and the game never sends your progress to us. On every platform:
- What stays on your device: your settings, campaign progress, the names you type for save slots and players, high scores and records, achievements, Daily Challenge results and ghost replays. These are stored only in the game's own folder on that device. We never see them, and they are not uploaded, synced or shared, so progress does not move between devices.
- Daily reminders (phones and tablets): optional and off until you turn them on. They are local notifications scheduled by your device; no server is involved. The game asks for notification permission only after you opt in, and you can turn reminders off in the game or in your device settings.
- Bug reports: the game can prepare a bug report that you copy yourself. It lists the game version, device and operating system, and the current game state. It never includes your player name, save data or file paths, and it is sent only if you paste it into the support form or an email.
- The link to this website: tapping kuniakunia.com in the game opens this website in your browser. The website section below then applies.
- Deleting your data: your progress can exist in three places. The game's own folder: on iPhone, Delete App removes it (Offload App keeps it); on Android, uninstalling or Settings › Apps › Kuniakunia › Storage › Clear storage removes it; on Windows and Mac, uninstalling may leave it behind, so delete
%APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Kuniakunia(Windows) or~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/Kuniakunia(Mac). Recovery copies: resetting progress on Windows and Mac does not erase your old save; it moves it into a recovery copy inside that same folder, which deleting the folder also removes. Device backups: iCloud, Android and computer backups may contain a copy and can restore it when you reinstall; you manage those in your device or cloud settings.
On Steam (Windows and Mac)
No ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics and no tracking. You buy and install the game through Steam: Valve handles your Steam account and payment under its own privacy policy, and we never receive your payment details. The game itself sends no data to us or to anyone else.
On iPhone and Android: links, ads and the ad-free version
The phone versions are not released yet and currently contain no ad or purchase code. The plan for launch is a free version with ads and a paid ad-free version. Before the phone versions are released, we will update this section with the ad provider we choose, what its software collects, and how consent and age screening work.
- Parental gate (already in the game): every link that opens your browser sits behind a parental gate, a short multiplication question in words that an adult can answer. It is not an age check, and nothing typed into it is stored or sent. Buying the ad-free version will sit behind it too.
- Ads (planned): ads will come from a provider we have not chosen yet. Ad software usually collects data from the device, such as its IP address, device and app information, advertising identifier and how ads are interacted with, and the provider handles that data under its own privacy policy. This page will name the provider and describe what its software collects in Kuniakunia. TODO: ad provider, SDK configuration and privacy-policy link
- Children (planned): because children are part of our audience, ads will be set up under Google Play's Families policy and Apple's rules for apps that children use: ads suitable for children, and no personalised ads or tracking for children. Whether the game asks a neutral age question will be decided together with the ad setup and described here. TODO: age-screening decision and consent flow
- Ad-free version (planned): you will be able to buy it through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment under their own terms and privacy policies; we receive confirmation that the purchase was made, never your payment details. Prices are not decided yet.
- Legal basis: for the ad-free purchase, our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). The legal basis for ads will be stated here once the ad setup is final.
- Controlling ad data: you can reset or delete your device's advertising identifier, and limit ad personalisation, in your phone's settings. For data an ad provider holds, you can also contact that provider directly.
This website
- Hosting: kuniakunia.com is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. We do not use this to identify you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- No cookies, no analytics. We set no cookies, use no analytics or advertising tools and store nothing in your browser. If Cloudflare's bot protection is switched on, Cloudflare may set one strictly necessary security cookie (
__cf_bm) to tell people from bots; it is not used for tracking. Fonts and videos are served from this site, not from third parties.
Support form and email
When you press SEND on the support page, we receive what you entered: the topic, your platform and game version, your message, any steps or game report you added and, only if you give it, your email address. Nothing is sent before you press SEND. The form is delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form delivery service. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and your message.
- Why: to answer you, fix bugs and improve the game.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing support and improving the game (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, when you ask for a reply, taking the steps you requested (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- How long: we keep support messages for 12 months after our last exchange with you and then delete them, unless we need them longer to handle a legal claim. Web3Forms may keep its own copy of a form submission for up to three years, as set out in its data processing agreement.
- Please don't send passwords, payment details or sensitive information.
Who else receives data
We do not sell your data, and we make no automated decisions about you. Apart from the ad network described above, only these companies receive data:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): website hosting and security.
- An ad provider (planned, phones only): not chosen yet; it will be named here before release.
- Apple and Google: app distribution and the ad-free purchase. Valve: Steam distribution and purchases. Each acts under its own privacy policy.
- Web3Forms (operated by Web3Creative, India): delivers support-form messages to our inbox. It uses these sub-processors: Hetzner (application servers in the EU, Germany and Finland), Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, storage and email delivery, including in the USA), Cloudflare (edge network and security), and CleanTalk and Akismet (spam filtering in the USA, which receive your IP address and email address).
- Google (Gmail): hosts our support inbox, support@kuniakunia.com, and stores the emails we receive.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare and Google rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Web3Forms is operated from India and uses servers in the EU and the USA; transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses (Commission Decision 2021/914, with the UK Addendum) in its data processing agreement, and all submissions travel encrypted over HTTPS.
Children
Kuniakunia is a game for everyone, and children are part of its audience on every platform. On Steam the game collects no personal data. On phones, every link out of the game is behind a parental gate, and ads are planned under the app-store rules for audiences that include children (see links, ads and the ad-free version).
The support form is different: it lets people send us a message and, optionally, an email address. In Greece, children under 15 need a parent's consent for this. If you are under 15, please ask a parent or guardian to send the message for you.
- If we learn that a message came from a child under 15 without a parent or guardian, we delete it.
- We reply only to a parent or guardian, never directly to a child.
- Parents and guardians can ask us to delete anything their child sent by emailing support@kuniakunia.com.
Your rights
The only personal data we hold are the messages you send us through the support form or by email. Under the GDPR you can ask us to see them, correct them, delete them, stop using them or send you a copy. Email support@kuniakunia.com from the same address and we will reply within one month.
Your game progress is never sent to us, so there is nothing about it for us to delete: it stays on your device, and The game section explains how to remove it. For ad data on phones, use your phone's advertising settings or contact the ad network.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Greece this is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Kifisias 1–3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr. You can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Changes to this policy
If the game or website starts handling data differently, for example through cloud saves or online features, we will update this page first and change the date at the top.
